Acquisition strengthens western Canadian presence and enhances coast-to-coast fueling solutions
Saint John, New Brunswick – On February 9, 2026, Saint John-based Petro Service Limited (PetroService) announced the acquisition of Calgary-based MI Petro. With offices in Alberta and British Columbia, MI Petro is a respected Western Canadian firm with more than 30 years of experience delivering fueling infrastructure products and services across the country as a Gilbarco distributor.
Founded in 1985, PetroService has grown from rebuilding gas pumps into one of Canada’s fastest-growing petroleum service providers, offering industry-leading solutions across the fueling landscape, including petroleum, and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, as well as car wash services. With 180 employees and 8 branches spanning Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, PetroService maintains a strong presence across Canada, with most of its workforce based in Atlantic Canada.

MI Petro, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, with a branch office in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, employs 23 people, including 10 technicians. The company has successfully delivered complex fueling projects for more than three decades, serving key national customers such as 7-Eleven, Canadian Tire, Canco, Circle K, and BG Fuels.

The acquisition is effective immediately, with operational continuity for employees and no expected disruption to customers or ongoing projects.
